Alan Pue, EdD

President, The Barnabas Group, Inc

Dr. Alan Pue is a 1967 graduate of Dade Christian School in Miami, Florida.  Remembering the powerful, positive impact of this faith-based education on his life Dr. Pue chose to pursue a vocation in teaching.  Since completing his undergraduate work and while continuing his professional development in graduate school (MEd in Administration and Supervision, Florida Atlantic University, EdD in School Leadership, University of Delaware) he has served as a classroom teacher, coach, headmaster, and for five years as Provost and Senior Vice President of The Master’s College, a faith based liberal arts college in Santa Clarita, California.  For fifteen years he also served as an elder and teaching pastor of the Pike Creek Valley Baptist Church in Newark, DE.

As President of The Barnabas Group, Inc Dr. Pue draws from that extensive experience while helping school/church leadership teams in the areas of strategic/scenario planning, problem solving, leadership development, and governance. Since founding TBG, Inc in 2001 Dr. Pue has worked with over 200 schools, churches, and other non-profit organizations and has been a featured speaker at dozens of conferences in the United States and around the world.

In addition to his work with schools he has served as an adjunct faculty member in the doctoral program at Columbia International University, Columbia SC, on the board of the Educational Foundation of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), as a founding faculty member and director of mentoring for ACSI’s Leadership U, and as a board member of Foundation Learning.  He is the author of two books Rethinking Sustainability: A Strategic Financial Model for Christian Schools and Rethinking Strategic Planning for Christian Schools both published by Purposeful Design Publications and has recently completed a third, Rethinking Discipleship: Why Christian Schooling Matters. He has also written numerous articles and book reviews.

Alan and his wife Linda met while in college.  They have two children, Amy and Ryan, both graduates of Christian schools/colleges, and seven beautiful granddaughters.
